Founded in 1967, Sheridan has grown from a local college of 400 students to one of Ontario’s leading postsecondary institutions, educating approximately 18,000 full-time and 35,000 continuing and part-time studies students every year on four campuses in three Ontario cities – Oakville, Brampton, and Mississauga. An award-winning institution, Sheridan attracts students from across Canada and around the world. Sheridan’s 110,000+ alumni play a critical role in shaping the future of our society in the fields of arts, business, community service, health, technology, and the skilled trades.
Grand and gorgeous, Sheridan’s newest campus opened in the fall of 2011 as the home of the Faculty of Business (now the Pilon School of Business). Our Hazel McCallion campus — or HMC as we call it — incorporates the latest in technology to facilitate collaborative learning and bring the Creative Campus idea to life. Built to LEED gold standards, HMC is tucked right in the heart of Canada’s sixth-largest city of Mississauga, Ontario.
In 2017, HMC officially opened a brand new wing, increasing enrolment capacity to over 5,500 students. The new wing offers additional state-of-the-art classrooms, studios, labs and production spaces, a Centre for Creative Thinking, and a gallery space to showcase students’ creativity and innovation.
