College of the North Atlantic-Corner Brook is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back 50 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying our curriculum at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East. In College of the North Atlantic-Corner Brook, we have over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year. Corner Brook campus of College of the North Atlantic is located on the west coast of Newfoundland.
Corner Brook, a city of approximately 20,000, provides all the usual amenities of a regional centre, while maintaining a small town atmosphere. Set in a beautiful natural environment, it affords outstanding opportunities for field work as well as a variety of outdoor recreation year round. Full-time credit course registration is approximately 700 students per semester. There are numerous services and resources available to enhance student life, including guidance counsellors, a Student Success Centre, an active Student Representative Council, an extensive library, and more. Corner Brook campus also houses the Department of Forestry and Agrifoods, the Geospatial Research Facility for Terrestrial Ecosystems, and the Fisher Children’s Centre.
