ABOUT

College of the North Atlantic-Carbonear is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back 50 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying our curriculum at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East.

In College of the North Atlantic-Carbonear, we have over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year. College of the North Atlantic, Carbonear campus, is located on the east coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Carbonear is one of Canada’s oldest town’s with a rich cultural history dating back to 1550. The current population is approximately 4,800 residents.

Carbonear provides a wide variety of services and attractions. Its friendliness and relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal place to attend secondary or post-secondary, work, raise a family, and/or retire. Residents have close access to health care facilities, secondary and post-secondary schools, shopping, restaurants, recreational facilities including a swimming pool, and many other amenities.
